How we integrate the arts…
> For teachers, Creative-Acting relates and integrates the varying aspects of the curriculum to the student’s day to day life. For students, it becomes a way of learning which is practical and enjoyable. Students regularly use creative drama to synthesize their understanding of each subject area.
>All students in Grades Pre-K-6 enjoy several hours of weekly instruction with professional art, dance, music, and drama teachers.
>Cre-Act hosts an annual interscholastic speech festival. Students from many area schools develop confidence in their expressive ability by delivering a formal address in front of audiences and judges.
> The school has gallery space dedicated to the display of artwork by students and local community artists.
>All students perform in an annual, full-length play at a professional venue on the campus of Idaho State University. Past productions include The Jungle Book, The Glass Slipper, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, and Huckleberry Finn.
