Cre-Act school makes stewardship its theme
SUBMITTED STORY
POCATELLO — The Franciscan Cre-Act School declares this year’s schoolwide theme to be Stewardship.
The students will focus on different aspects of this theme throughout the year. Students will look at characters from different stories and people from ancient civilizations and will discover if they were stewards and how they were stewards and what gifts they gave in the process.
Cre-Act School’s guiding educational philosophy, “learning with all of ones being” means children take command of the basics: reading, language arts, math, science, history and geography through many different mediums and educational techniques. The children are taught that respect and consideration begin within each individual. There is zero tolerance for bullying and older students are encouraged to help in the classrooms of the younger children and share activities on the playground.
The school is faith-based but interdenominational. Most faiths are represented in the school’s population. Class sizes are small to allow for personalized attention and are organized into multi-aged groups so students progress at their own pace.
To learn more about this caring and nurturing educational environment that your child could be a part of, visit the Web site (www.Cre-ActSchool.com ) or call the school- 233-4747, for further information today. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May, 2007
Cre-Act School is excited to announce that they are enrolling new students for the 2007/2008 school year.
Pocatello: A silent revolution has been going on in Pocatello for the last 30 years. It’s a revolution in education that is truly astounding. This retooled approach to learning was introduced by Sister Dorothy Prokes and it has had a remarkable impact on each student that has entered the school since its inception.
This learning path moves away from conventional techniques, but not from conventional subject matter. At Cre-Act School, children take command of the basics…reading, language arts, math, science, history and geography like never before. My child and the other students call this school fun and exciting; I, along with the other parents, call the transformation we witness unbelievable.
Maybe as important as this breakthrough in education, is the school’s environment. In the Cre-Act community, our children are taught that respect and consideration begins within each individual. There is zero tolerance for bullying and they encourage the older students to help in the classrooms of the younger children and share activities on the playground.
The school is faith-based but interdenominational. Most of our city’s faiths are represented in the school’s population. Class sizes are small to allow for personalized attention and are organized into multi-aged groups so students progress at their own pace.
Provide your child with the opportunity to attend the Franciscan Cre-Act School. See for yourself – take a tour and meet the caring teachers and principal. The school is located at the corner of South Grant and West Benton Street and the phone number is 233-4747.
